Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) - Horizon is leading an implementation team of the Managed Competencies module in PeopleSoft's Human Resources Management Software Release 8 SP1. This module's implementation has a two phased go live schedule. The Horizon Project Lead has many duties that include directing the product development efforts of technical team members using PeopleTools 8.4 and PeopleCode, producing and maintaining project plans, creating and providing product demonstrations, meeting all project deadlines, preparing a Design Document for each project phase and receiving customer approval, conducting research and making best practices recommendations, managing customer expectations, etc. |

Engineering Support Automation - The ESA system is a web based application deployed for the entire DoD to access for the purpose of managing the product related engineering changes. The system consists of a complex communication process and associated systems access and related system vulnerabilities. Horizon created a draft SSAA after performing a detailed analysis of the system documentation. The draft was further verified and validated through a series of tests and test results, including intrusion detection assessment, software scan, network connectivity assessment and site security validation. A final SSAA was presented and delivered. The process of preparing the SSAA included an in-depth review of the system architecture, system design, hardware and software, network security and system security. All possible security threats were identified and Horizon either provided solutions to fix the security threats or created mitigation plans to counter the threats. |

Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service - Horizon determined the functionality of an entire division consisting of 4000 people. Horizon planned overall strategy for a $28 Million DoD system integration project including systems analysis, business process review, COTS Fit-Gap analysis, and the mapping of functional and technical requirements. Horizon analyzed SAP R/3, PeopleSoft and Oracle technologies with extra emphasis on the SAP alternative. Horizon was responsible for prepared the program management plan, documenting the system requirements document and the functional requirements document. |

Defense Logistics Agency - The CRM project is a current ongoing contract. Horizon has completed the initial phase of this contract. During the initial phase Horizon did an assessment of DLA capabilities and operational processes. A strategic plan was then formulated and a plan for implementation developed. The task order for CRM implementation is underway. New processes and strategy for Marketing and Sales are being developed; processes and strategy for Service are being re-engineered. These processes will be distributed and executed for DLA. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) will provide a manual process foundation for the CRM capabilities that will be automated in Release 1. Ongoing BPR Requirements Management work will continue to further define DLA's business requirements. Change Management is supporting organizational changes that are required to execute the new processes and CRM Functionality. |

Defense Logistics Agency - RDE is a data warehouse project for the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) where Horizon provides the data modeling, metadata strategy, Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) expertise and the Database Administration functions for the creation of the data warehouse. Horizon also provides related program management support, testing, creation of user manuals and technical manuals. This effort is a team effort lead where Horizon analysts performed an analysis to identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies. In addition, Horizon recommended an initial implementation plan. The plan is iterative in nature and will be implemented in three (3) phases. Horizon also performed a customer analysis to divide the customer base into groups of users that are similar in specific ways relevant to data interaction, volume of data usage and frequency of data usage. Currently, Horizon is part of the technical team performing ‘integration testing' to make sure that the data extracts are accurate. |
